Russian Fish sees e-commerce platform adding up to $250m in sales

The CEO and co-owner of Russian Fish Company, the country’s largest importer, said a new e-commerce platform could add 50,000 metric tons of sales volume to its business over the next three years.

In 2017, Russian Fish sold 100,000t of fish, the bulk frozen, generating RUB 23 billion ($345m) in turnover. With the Rusfishcom app, which the company launched in five regions of Russia earlier this year, the target is sales of RUB 35bn-RUB 40bn ($525.26m-$600m) and 150,000t in the next three years, Dmitry Dangauer, CEO, told Undercurrent News.

“Then, also, we can add in other proteins and products, as we have the platform and the distribution,” he said, during the WorldFood Moscow trade show, where Nakhodka Marine Fishery Base (NBAMR) and Russian Fishery were sharing a stand. (Read more….)
