On 9 December, the fifth technology park for children, located in the Kalibr technology park, will open in northern Moscow at 9/1 Godovikova Street. In this technology park, children will learn to create animation for augmented and virtual reality as well as 3D models, by using state-of-the-art equipment and software.
“This children’s technology park was created in the Kalibr technology park. Children between the ages of 14 and 17 will be able to study here,” said Alexei Fursin, Head of the Moscow Department for Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship. “Students of these courses will learn to create animated scenes with Kalibrotechnoman – a character developed specifically for this purpose. By the end of the year, we are planning to open seven more children’s technology parks in Moscow.”
Children will be able to choose between four courses. The course called 3D Modelling Basics will teach them to create 3D models of objects. In the course Computer Animation and Motion Capture Technology, students will learn to animate characters and create special effects using a modern software and hardware system. In Computer Animation in Virtual Reality, they will be able to develop projects for VR headsets.
